Faces of Freedom is an all-volunteer effort to raise money for wounded veterans and the American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund. Editorial Director Rebecca Pepin recruited dozens of professional writers and editors from around the country help to tell the stories of fallen service members who have lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan since 9/11. This beautiful, hardcover book includes one service member from each state, D.C. and Puerto Rico. Each branch of service is represented. This heartfelt tribute is in honor all who have paid the ultimate price.
ALL proceeds go to Fisher House, Wounded Warrior Project and, when books are purchased here, the American Legion Scholarship Fund.
Faces of Freedom founder and editorial director Rebecca Pepin is a new American citizen from Canada and this is her way of saying thank you to the men and women who serve so that she may have the privileges she has in this great country.

Veterans Affairs Suicide Hotline
To ensure veterans with emotional crises have round-the-clock access to trained professionals, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has begun operation of a national suicide prevention hotline for veterans. To operate the national hotline, VA is partnering with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Veterans can call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) and press "1" to reach the VA hotline.
The Army's Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (PTSD/MTBI) Chain Teaching Program
The Army launched a "chain-teaching" program July 18 to help Soldiers and their Families identify symptoms and seek treatment for those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and mild Traumatic Brain Injury (PTSD/mTBI). The chain-teaching program includes a standardized script and supporting audiovisual products about the signs and symptoms of these behavioral and mental-health issues. The Desert Storm Memorial Drive, Inc
This web site is dedicated to the Gulf War Veterans who served in the Desert Shield/Desert Storm War. Their mission is to start a public campaign to raise the necessary interest and the necessary funds to build our Gulf War Veterans a National Memorial.
